Clinical Supervision

Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision entails everything from setting up your child’s initial program and providing you with a detailed program folder to assisting you with individual education plans or school observations. To ensure consistency in your child’s program we will visit you once or twice a month where we demonstrate behavioural and educational interventions. We provide ongoing parent and therapist training regarding effective techniques for managing behaviours and developing new skills. Consultation also includes writing of reports regarding progress and/or goal proposals. The frequency of consultation depends on a mutually agreed upon number of hours and the availability of a program manager.

Therapy

At Aspire you have the option to recruit independent therapists that we will train or we can recruit and train therapists for you.

We always recommend your assigned program manager work one on with your child, as we want to be familiar with your child’s learning style. Our program managers can do this during or prior to team meetings or regular one on one sessions in between team meeting depending on their availability.

We currently employ senior therapists who will assist you with implementation of your child’s daily program. Please contact us for more information.

Home schooling services

Some parents feel that there is currently not a school in the public or private system that caters to their child’s individual needs at that particular moment in time. If you feel your child does not benefit from a structured school setting or if you think that home schooling may a better alternative for the time being, Aspire we can assist you by providing a comprehensive home schooling program that includes academic learning as well as continued language development and specific social skills. Depending on your and your child’s needs, we can provide you with therapists who assist you with some of the teaching and the majority of the time you can spend educating your child as you see fit.

We assist you with the initial approval from the Board of Studies and help you get in touch with other families who provide a home schooling program for their child. We also assist you with finding the right teaching materials you need to educate your child.

If your goal is to have your child enter or return in the education system, Aspire will provide a program that specifically targets the skill set needed to succeed in a structured educational setting.
